HomeService information I have sony FH-B170 Comapct system. But CD palyer stopped responding as if there is no power however rest of the system is working fine but when CD is selected there is strange display with Two Small ZEROS and Zeros in palce of track Number Time etc. could any one tell me where to start or how to put this set in service mode or how to find service manual on internet. Thanks a lot

Hi, I finally worked out the problem for this one. There are 3 electrolytic capacitors on one of the main boards that regulate the power going to the CD mech. - Replace those and the CD Mech will come good. Alec I have also the same problem with same model.. let me know if anyone has found the solution.. thanks I have the same model with the same problem. I've got a feeling that a capacitor has died somewhere but I don't know where. Please let me know if you find the answer.
