Down loading digital movies directly to PC using USB cable

When i connect my USB cable from DV camera(Panasonic MD9000) to my PC, windows recognized it and a message came that "One of the divice connceted to the computer not recognized by windows" I have not installed driver for DV camera, if i install the driver the problem will be resolved? and where should i get the driver?
