View finder (LCD) showing blur lines

Hi, My JVC miniDv was great. All of a sudden it so happened that the LCD & view finder shows only blur lines. While playing back an old tape it works fine. I am not able to record anything. Only the audio gets recorded. No images can be seen except for the blurred image. Any help in this regard would be appreciated. Kumar.
