Sony DCR TRV355E Video Camera shows a tape full message after 5 minutes.

The problem started when I recorded a concert. I had a new 60 min tape and after 30 minutes it showed tape full. It has now got so bad that I only get 5 minutes out of a new tape. The camera is out of warranty and they will charge just to give me a diagnosis. Any ideas???
