Trying to source expansion bladder thing in projector tube assembly.

Can anyone help me out with part number and availability of the small (1 inch diameter) rubber expansion bladder thing found at the top right hand corner of the projection tube assy (when viewed from looking straight down at the lens. Our Sony parts dealer here (in Australia) said we would have to order entire assy (nearly $1000!!!). This part looks a lot like a condom in its rolled up, packed form!!!! We thought a condom might perish as this heavier black rubber part has and therefore the job could not be considered reliable with this 'makeshift' repair! Part number for the tube assy is:- A-1501-261-A. Have had 2 such repairs. We can get the similar part for L.G. projectors but it doesn't fit the Sony.
