Help with lost vertical

Hi folks, We have a JVC AV-27720 that has lost it's vertical. All we have is a crisp white line across the center of the screen. Any ideas what we should check on this? Also, is there away to access service codes (via remote) and what might the code be? Also, if we have lost vert, will service codes still display? I have had the tv apart and am wondering, can I fix this myself. Any comments, suggestions or ideas would really help. thanks dave
