HomeLoud clicking sound is heard in the CD compartment. CD's get stuck and won't play (won't eject either). Hi there!! I have a Sony MHC 550 in immaculate condition. Lately, the CD player has been giving me trouble. The cd compartment just emits a loud clicking sound and the CD won't eject and neither will it play the cd. In the tuner mode, the clicking sound stops but whenever I go into the video or cd mode, it continues to tick. Any suggestions on how to fix this. Thank you.

Does anyone know where to get replacement parts for this unit? I had the same problem, but when I took it apart, I found a drive belt broken. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Hi, I had the same problem. The problem is the grease in the cdplayer mechanisme had dried up. You have to dissamble it, and put in some new. You also have to clean the cd lens with some water. Grtz Erik Erik, thanks for the message. I did figure it out and yes, you are definitely correct.
