HomeDoes anyone know how to unjam 2 discs in DVD player. Our kids are forever jamming 2 discs in the DVD player. It costs $100 each repair, we'd like to learn how to do it ourselves. Can anyone help?

Keep your kids away from the DVD player. You didn't post a model but general experience with CD/DVDs in removing jammed discs says to remove power from the unit. Then remove the top cover. If you're lucky there may be two screws near the rear of the deck that support the spindle cap. Remove the screws and pull up on the arm and you'll have access to the discs. If not then you'll have to remove the deck from the unit. Eric |
