Sony DAV-S300 eject problem

The DVD eject button on my DAV-S300 has stopped working and I cannot eject the disc that's currently in the player. 1) Is there another way to force the tray to open - physical or via remote code or some kind of service menu? 2) Is this a known problem? Is it likely to be the physical button or something more systemic? Thanks!
