cannot play back tapes

Hi I have a Gr DVA1 camcorder. Suddenly, I cannot play back my minidv's. I just get a blue screen. I was getting an E04 code, and it seemed that something waas loose. After I tapped it a bit, a screw fell off from somehwer. Now when I try to play a mini DV, I just get a blue screen. However, I was able to record directly to a VCR from a camera. So I am assuming that the problem is only in playing back tapes
