I have problems :(

I have 2 of the above mentioned cd player. one of them has a broken lense carrier, but I fixed it with some super glue and has worked for the 2 years since. The other is the one with problems. It hasnt really been used for 2 years and now has problems playing mp3 cds. I'm not possitive about regular audio cds (too much music to bother with). The main symptoms seem to occur when I skip through folders; it works okay but when I skip a folder(s) it starts to skip and fastfoward and sound very garbled in general. Any ideas as to the solution? I've tried cleaning the lense in multiple ways, but any suggestions woud help!
