Home"PROTECT" display on Receiver..please help! When I turn on my Receiver, the word "PROTECT" shows up on the display and I can't use it at all. Checking the troubleshooting portion of the manual, it states that this means there's a short circuit in my component...it advises me to remove the short and turn the component back on. How do I go about this without having to pay an arm and a leg for repairs at a Sony Repair Center? Thanks in advance for the help!

i have the same problem the front of the display said protec I had the same problem turned out all I had to do was retrim all of the speaker wires, reinset them and problem solved If you want i can repair it. You must ship to me your amplifer. Regards, Niko. Is not a short circuit on the receiver, it means that your speaker connections are not well connected. double check all the wires. |
