Fire-wire data transfer dosnot work

the digital transfer and camera commands vía Fire-Wire to computer dosnot work. I have tried changing fire-wire cable, reinstall video card driver etc. I use pinnacle DV500 card for capturing video and adobe premiere 6.5 for editing
