Camera won't record . The manual focus icon keeps flashing in yellow and the sreen is black. Everthing else works fine .

Camera won't record . The manual focus icon keeps flashing in yellow and the sreen is black. Everthing else works fine. When the video camera is first switched on the lens cap warning comes on even when the cap is off. Then the yellow flashing manual focus comes on. Can it be fixed?
