HomeMercedes Benz factory CD changer error code 1 Just purchased a used 1999 Mercedes Benz ml430 with 6 disk trunk mounted CD changer. ( Panasonic I believe) Shows error code 1, on factory radio display. did play briefly on CD #3 1 time, all others show error code 1, I have loaded about 100 CD's all get the same message. I can hear CD load, slide into position and then a 5 second spin with a slight scraping sound then slows to nothing, then the code pops up. any ideas? I have web searched for an hour and can find no answer for error code 1.

That is interesting.... I just purchased a used ML 430 two days ago and my cd changer was working fine. Today.... I am getting the same Error message that you are receiving. I am quite frustrated. Any luck in determine what the cause this error might be? I am told a new Cd changer cost $699.00!%@E!@%! Email me with any words of advise or any discoveries to fix this problem.
