HomeBroken screen on sony ke-42xbr900. Will sony mbt-xbr900 media reciever work with other plasma screens? My son broke the screen to the moniter/tv unit of our sony ke-42xbr900. so now all i have is the sony mbt-xbr900 media reciever. am i able to purchase a cheaper "moniter only" plasma screen and use it with the sony mbt-xbr900 without compramising any funcionality? if so does anyone know which screens are compatible? Thanks

The answer is no Sony makes the plasma and the media box specific to the sereies ie 42xbr900 and 50xbr900 same box, but your box cannot be used with the 950 series.
