I have a JVC GR-D70U DV Camera with a "lens cap" message with a black screen. I have read alot of other people the same problem with the JVC cameras. The camera is just out of the warranty period with very low usage. I am assuming that the CCD is bad. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem - remove lens cap and no picture on lcd black screen yet I can play previous video footage. Would love to hear of a solution.
