What a great site!! I bought a refurb GR-DVL820U late last year. I didn't need it until this spring so all I did was power it on, record for a few seconds, and set it aside. Now I need it, but the power cycles off-on-off-on. It runs no more than 60 seconds before cycling, blinking off just for an instant, then on again. Does the same whether on freshly charged battery or AC adapter, with or without tape, record, playback, or just idling. No bad smell or other symptoms that I've noticed. This is my first bad experience with a factory refurb product, but it has me kicking myself for not making sure it really worked when I got it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I hate to throw more money at it because I could keep using the old Sony Hi8 for free. Thanks, Steve
