Canon A80 Pictures not showing up

I need to know if you sell an image sensor or a release shutter? We have the A80 Canon Power Shot and when we turn on the camera it comes on but the screen is black. When you take a picture through the viewfinder and go to view it, it also shows up black too. this is what I am told will fix the problem. Please advise and thank you for your help.
