JVC Camcorder connectivity using Firewire to Laptop.

Hello All, Based on the replies to my previous post, I bought one firewire card. I also installed firewire card and attached the JVC (GR-D270) camcorder to firewire card using the cable which came along with firewire card. (6 pin to 4 pin) I have also installed Ulead visual studio which came along with the firewire CD. I can see Firewire card getting recognised in Device Manager (as VIA OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller.) But camcorder is not appearing anywhere? Is there any special way to get JVC camcorder recognised? Does this require any special driver? Can somebody guide me in this? (step by step will be appreciated) (Right way of doing this.) I am running Windows 2000 professional. Any kind of help will be highly appreciated. Thanks and Best Regards. Mahesh R Gune
