volume control

Help, my volume on my cd player is rissing on its own. I have tried taking the remote out of the roon and taking the battries out i did so as instruced to do so by an electriction. However this had not helped any and the volume continues to rise to the max level. This happans at ramdom and i can play a whole cd at times with nothing unusual happening. Do you have any idea what i could to do fix this.
