Re: JVC camrecorder connection over USB port

I have JVC 77 Us mini DV camcorder which allows me to download my video using USB and also firewire. Can anyone tell me what whould be the diffrence if I use Firewire for downloading.Also video using USB is captured at 320*240 will it be better with firewire.

    Nishant, Are you sure you can download the video using USB port? How did you configure that? Please let me know. Did you used any special driver? Or your laptop/computer detected on its own. (I am using windows 2000 professional) Here is ths answer to my query from JVC service engineer. Regards. Mahesh, The USB port is strictly for down loading of the snapshots from the memory card. If you want to down load video from the tapes you will have to use the Fire Wire / IEEE 1394 port. The USB is not fast enough to down load full streaming video. You would have to install a Fire Wire capture card into your computer.
