How to replace the ribbon cable on my JVC VCR

My JVC VCR was knocked off the shelf and stopped working. I opened it up and found that the ribbon cable for the font panel had been damaged. I managed to get it working with repairing the ribbon cable but the cable is too damaged to work for a perminant solution. It comes apart too easy now. How do I find the right ribbon cable and where do I buy it?
