I only Have a green light on my PS2,no blue light.How Do I Fix My PS2?

A while back,my PS2 started Gettin some DRE's,so I decieded to clean it,but the thing is,the last time I cleaned it,I was Following instrucions of the internet,but this time when I cleaned it I didnt have my internet connected,so I had to do it by memory.Anyway,after I 'Cleaned' it,i started messin with a little gear switch on the side of tha disc tray.Dont Ask me why,I dont even know.Back to the point tho.After I had did that,& put my PS2 back together,I dont get a blue light anymore,just a green one.And now when ever I try to play ANYTHING on my PS2,it'll START off normally,but then when it tries to read the disc,it turns off!Do any off you kno what I should do about this?BESIDES SEND IT TO SONY.Help me out here...
