tuning of analogue signals on digital side of tv & some digital channels.

Just purchased the above LCD tv and having difficulty tuning itv1,2, channel4 & 5 and various other channels on the digital side. Purchased a new high gain digital ariel albeit it's in the loft. I have a digital box in another room connected to a tv with an older ariel which is along side the new one, no problems all channels present!
