Re[3]: SONY ORIGINAL PARTS

Joseph Posted Mar 08, 2005, in response to:john wilkins

Hi, I am in the same situation you are. My son was watching TV then the TV turned off and now it won't turn back on. I tried a new outlet, checked the power cord everything looks okay. "The unsinkable Titanic", I used to think that Sonys lasted forever, I know people who have Sony TV's that are 20 years old, This TV was only nine years old. Any suggestions. I a'm not a repair tech, but was hoping to fix it on my own :-)

Last night I turned off my Sony KV-32S15(Mfgd Oct 1994) when I went to bed, just like I've done for the last 11 to 12 years. This morning when I tried to turn it on....nothing, not even the power red light was on. Usually there is a distinctive click at the punch of the power button on the remote or TV. I checked the fuse box and plug in outlets and everything's working normally. I have plugged a smaller TV into the same wall outlet and it works fine, but I want to repair my TV and enjoy it longer if it's something easy to fix at a reasonable cost. If anyone knows of a simple solution, PLEASE advise. THANKS!

I am having the same problem. My Sony kv32s15 "died" by just turning itself off permanently... nothing. Did you find a solution? I am told there is a kit called a power supply kit that is the fix but I am no expert. Maybe we can help each other.

Hello I am having a similar problem with my KV-32s15 has cut out completely. I have the back off the TV and cannot find any components that look burnt or damaged. I was wondering if you had a solution to your problem. Peterh

I am having a similar problem. I had my 32" sony trinitron in storage for 7 months and when I got it out it did not work anymore. When I try to turn it on the red light on the front stays on and does nothing else. Please help..
