my pc does not see my jvc camcoder

hi, after installing dics(which was included with my camcoder)I tried to connect my camcoder with pc but I can not see it. The message is displayed...new hardware found, but i can not see the camcoder on my pc. What shall I do. Thank you for you help. sandra
