How do I get rid of the 5 second pause/review and sound recording with still photos?

I'm looking to use my camera to take still photos, but am sick of the sound being recorded in the background. Is there a way to remove this (rather annoying) feature, and just cut straight to the chase and take some instant photos? best joshua sandwich
