ps2 Multitap won't work in ps2.

Ok, I guess I need the same help as a lot of other people. The multitap will not work right. The analog lights on the controllers blink off and on and the thing just won't work. We just bought it and it worked fine ONE time after messing around with it for a long time. Now it won't work at all. HELP!
