copy movie to pc harddrive from jvc mini dv

hi. i install image mixer on my pc and connect jve camcorder through usb cabel but after long struggle i was failed to see the movie in imagemixer on fullscreen,i want to copy the movie in my pc harddrive through mini dv pls assist me and pls also assist me how i can use my jvccamcorder as a web cam and still cam on my pc .thank you
