    I doubt very much if they will repair it for free but you can try. If you know anybody with electronics background have them check the Power Supply Unit which is located on the left side. BE VERY CAREFUL OPENING THE TOP COVER. There is a thin ribbon cable that is attached to the cover and it will most certainly come unplugged. This cable is known as the Eject/Reset Cable and if it comes unplugged will cause the PS2 to NOT POWER ON. Many times PS2 owner's will experience Disc Read Errors and open the top cover to clean their Laser Assy. After resaasembling, they experience a No Power On problem, caused by this cable being unplugged. Good Luck
