any way to extract other than repair shop?

I put a memorex non abrasive head cleaning cassette into the vcr and when finished tape started to eject and did not compleate the process of ejection. It just pulled back into the vcr. I did notice when supposally cleaning the tape counter remained at 0. The cassette just barly reaches the frount of the TV panel then retracts back. any Idea on how to remove it without destroying the vcr?
