no picture on a Sony KV32V40

I have a SONY KV32V40 tv that will work fine and then the picture will go black. Sound remains ok, but no picture. From the posts this seems like it is in the IF section. I am not experienced in the everyday repair of TV's but do understand electronics and that you need to be careful working around the high voltage. I would appreciate any help that you may provide in isolating this problem.
