Is my trinitron mute forever????

Have a trinitron tv, by sony, which doesnt play sound...looks great, plays a good pic, seems to be in excellent condition except the audio issue. Ive been readin on this forum and it seems that there are MANY problems with Sony Trinitrons? Ive read something about a "flyback", would this repair sound, or does this type of TV have a sound card??? NO idea. Any help?
