Bandtuner issues

Just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to get the radio bandtuner to search in single increments. Just bought mine in America and took it home to ireland, however it searches in odd increments i.e 99.1, 99.3, 99.4. And this is not tight enough to hold a strong signal.
