HomeLooking for a good mic to use on a profesional video boom system hello, i'm Looking for a good mic to use on a profesional video camera on a boom pole - i'm kinda new to the mic thing - the ATR55 i was using before just crapped out on me (not avery good mic anyway) so i'm looking for somehtign better in the ~$150 range.... any ideas?

Are the sennheisers any good? One of the workhorses is the Audio Technica AT835b Shotgun Mic ($239.99 in Music123.com) It is a long (14.5") shotgun microphone that delivers a very respectable performance. Or its bigger brother, the AT815b (16.5") for a narrower acceptance angle ($259.99 at musiciansfriend.com). NOTE: They need Phantom power 9 - 52V, 2 mA typical that may be supplied by an internal batery (1.5V UM3) |
