HomeMy search for help in diagnosing a turntable problem... Hi everyone. I have been trying to find some information on fixing a Yamaha PF-1000 turntable. Basically, the platter doesn't turn. More specifically, I believe the problem to be in the logic which controlls the motor shutoff on the main PC board within. My problem is that I have no schematic or service manual, and Yamaha aren't giving 'em away unfortunately. If anyone has any insight on the problem or where to obtain schematics or service manuals I'd very much appreciate the info. Thanks everyone! Dennis

Hi Dennis, I was just wondering if you managed to resolve your PF-1000 Yamaha Turntable. My PF-800 Yamaha turntable is doing something similar where it sometimes starts and turns off at the end of the record but does not function after that. Did you need a yamaha technician to repair yours? My guess is there must be dry joints on the control circuit board but if you could let me know what the solution was for servicing your PF-1000 Yamaha Turntable that would very helpful.
