I have been given a faulty jvc dvd recorder model # DR-M1SLB which is out of warranty. The Power supply board (LPA10201-02C1) has a blown SMPS IC5101 (STRG6653). I have ordered a replacement, however, I just noticed on the underside of the pcb there is a blown surface mount resistor R5107. I have no idea what the value of it should be. Could you supply me the specs for this resistor please? A schematic would be nice too, but just the value will suffice.

Abraham - any idea where I can get hold of an STRG 6653 in the UK? rS dont seem to list it, neither do farnell or maplin. Cheers

I have a JVCDR-MV1S with the blown STR G6653 as well.
Did you receive a response to your enquiry?
