I have an E04 error on my DV-GRL510U...i started having this problem after the machine tape unit was replaced in 2001. Now that i have started using the camcorder again, i am really upset that so many people on the internet have this issue but JVC has done nothing about it...i had brought the e04 error to the JVC customer service rep's attention after the tape unit had been replaced..i was assured it was the tape i was using -- i was duped to buy more JVC products! recording and cleaning tapes....what a waste of more money on a piece of junk..i didnt pursue the issue with the rep 2 years ago because she sounded like she knew it was a tape issue and i have not needed to use the camcorder...now i do need the camcorder and i refuse to spend another $150 to get this junk fixed! i want someone from jvc to address this issue asap!
