Same Problem. No Christmas movie this year. Model is TRV-420E. Battery on, Barrery off... does not any help. I open those 2 screw near the battery door windows. I took hole plactic door off. It works without any problem !!!. I put door back. It is still working. Problem might be position of tape when door is closed?Plastic cover left the mechanism wrong position ?
