Debbie Posted Nov 29, 2004

Not sure if I can find my way back here, so e-mailing me would be great...HELP...friend seZ he HAS to have the DVD-+RW...why?

Is there such a difference that he cannot use the most popular DVD-+R?? he is adamant on having the RW...besides the cost being 5X's that of the R.......hummm???

I have a Philips Video Dics recoder wich I have used both the +R and +RW formats on to record movies. The problem is when I want to play any of these back on our Toshiba player in the kids room It will only play the +R's which have been finalized. With the +RW's I get a dics error message. Is this just because the older Toshiba is able to playback the +R's only? I just worry a little that the movies I have recorded on +RW will be nothing but cup coasters if my Philips dies. Ease my wories please....
