You have to get a Analog-to-Digital converter. You should do some research yourself on what the best one would be for your situation. I bought the Canopus ADVC-300 for its simplicity and specifications. You plug up the camera output to the ADVC analog input jacks (common RCA jacks) and the output of the ADVC to your digital input connector (firewire, USB, etc). The ADVC converts the signal so you get a digital video output ready to be captured by your PC software. I use Adobe Premier as my editing program, but any common video editing program should give you the capability of capturing digital data. If not, it's worthless - look for another program that does capture digital video. Hope this helps. PS - I bought my ADVC-300 off eBay for much less than what you'd pay from a store.
