Sony Sports Walkman (cassette)

I have a Sonly Sports Walkman and when I play it, I can hear what's on the other side of the tape (playing backwards) at a slightly lower volume than the side I'm listening to. Is there a remedy for this? I've tried a tape cleaner but it wasn't effective.
