That Emerson TV was manufactured by Funai. Call them at 1-800-242-7158 and give description of part. You will not receive instructions. You'll have to solder the sensor in place. Sensor has 3 pins. On is ground, one is +5VDC, and one is data. If you see activity on the data pin when a remote function is selected, the sensor is not the problem. Check for presence of 5VDC first.
