Home | First message in thread | Previous messageHi My name is minoo, from Romania and yes, is related to this site: http://www.pechorin.com/m/2004/01/22/JVC_error_codes_assistance-208527.html I have a JVC GR DVP1 which is basically perfect but each time I try to play/record there's an E03 message showing. Now some other forums reccommend to clean the capstan very careful with a dip of alcohol and a cotton stick. Anyway, before doing anything I would like to hear some opinions... thanks for your time! minoo PS we don't have an official JVC service in Romania, just a franchise which is bad...

Hi. It seems to be a big problem that JVC makes money out of when all the trouble is THE CAPSTAN HAS FELL TO BITS they are onle held together with magnets. We have fixed 9 out of 10 with no problem. They are a good investment if you want to make a quick buck and I bye any amount of them at the right price it`s worth a chance to have a go at it. We find that with a little time involved and a strip down it is possible to fix them in an evening at a cost of about £55 for the time plus post. Hope that helps you. Cheer`s Ken. I have a same problem. In my JVC GR-D20E (1.5 year old)camcorder there is not contact betwen obiectiv end LCD @ viewfinder. and I canot fix it in Romania. I vill not buy other JVC product . |
