Home | Previous messageI have a Sony STR-DE725. It has been working fine up until today, when I powered it on - the unit powers up, the LED's come on, but the screen on the front remains blank, and no audio will come through the speakers. Any suggestions? If this is a known problem and a particular part needs to be replaced, I would love to know about it. Thanks

One of these was just given to me because it had the same symptom as yours. I looked inside and found 2 blown fuses. A friend worked on it while I was at the beach in Mexico. He found a shorted 2SC-1620 output transistor and repaced it for $12.50 including shipping. Works great now. Sony wanted $30.00 for the same part. John I have the exact same issue. The day mine had a problem was Sunday Morning. Have you found any way to fix it? |
