if you were able to do it before and not now...you may need service. IF you have not ever been able to do it...make sure you have the proper hardware/software program (eg: Pinnacle Studio 8) to allow this function via firewire. The discs that come with the camcorders are just video/photo editing discs...they do not allow the function to transfer video. You have to buy that separately.
