Home | First message in thread | Previous messageI had this problem, and since they wanted an awful amount of money to fix it, I decided to open it: I kept it open while swtiching on, and I realized that there was a problem with the lens of the CD reader, which was tryin to go "too far" in the camera body and that was where the noise was coming from. So I took a little screwdriver and "helped" the lens to find its place. And it worked! at least for the moment.

Thank you!!! I had taken 2 days worth of pics documenting the loss from the recent flood. I freaked when 'disk error' came up. I tried the reset on the bottom of the camera, then moved the lens a bit when that didn't work. I was able to finalize the disk. Woohoo! Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all the pics are there! Hi Carlo - Thank you for the information! -- Rita |
