jvc gr-dx307 problem in transfering video to computer

hi i bought one jvc camcorder gr-dx307 last week and i m getting trouble in transfering video to computer. i can able to transfer photos stored on a memory card of camcorder but not the video which is stored on minidv cassette.i did everything which i can do.installing software couple of times proper connection of usb port and many other. but everything leads me to disappointment. so plz somebody help me urgently bcoz i wanna take this to the tour of asia in few days.
