Every time I turn on my Dv cam the power light on it just blinks on and off.

Every time I turn on my Dv cam the power light on it just blinks on and off. When it does this the Cam is completly useless I cant film anything and I cant view the play back. If any one knows whats happening and how or if I can fix it please reply.
